Unlike the word processor, the browser doesn't have a built in spell checker. If you're used to the red wavy line appearing under words, it can be a great loss when it isn't there.
Not everyone can be a great speller.
The trick is to type it in the word processor, spell-check it, and then copy the text into the blog post.
At home you can get spell-checkers for FireFox.
